      1. PSYCHODRAMAS-STAB…
        After the reenactment, Dr. Moreno no longer allowed sharp objects of any kind into his office.

      1. CHOMPS STORYBOARD…
        Why Cookie Monster is no longer allowed in the Sesame Street Workshop Writer’s Room.

          1. That was my answer as well, and I love your interpretation of the TI. Took me a long time to get it, despite a seemingly benign letter arrangement. Was close a number of times with Cardboard and Boardshorts and also thought Drachmas would get me home, but no. Glad I finally got it though.

  1. CHAMPS-STORYBOARD
    PSYCHODRAMAS-STAB
    PSYCHODRAMA-ACROBAT
    MATCHBOARD-DROPSY
    PATCHBOARDS-STOMPY
    MOPBOARDS-STARCHY

    1. You are amazing. It takes me forever to get the puzzle in two words and you always seem to get it in two—at least four times. Wow!

  2. Samuel Hanwich

    STOB would actually hook up too, but it’s another one of those words you rarely see except in word games. (Same with SABOT now that I think about it.)

  3. PSYCHODRAMA—ABORT,
    —ABATOR, —ACROBAT, —ABSTRACT
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    TBSP—PSYCHODRAMA
    A non-vowel, accepted word!
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    PSYCHOMOTOR—RHABDOM
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    PSYCHOPOMP—PATCHBOARD
    1. PROTOMARTYRS—STARCHBOARD^
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      ^Merriam-Webster:
      starchboard, noun: a shallow wooden tray used as a container for the powdered starch in which molds or impressions for some candies are made.

      protomartyr, noun: pro·to·mar·tyr ˈprō-tō-ˌmär-tər: the first martyr in a cause or region.

      1. Getting board of the LB compound word solutions… find all the small words til you find two that fit together. Meh.

    2. Accepting TBSP just deepens the mystery of the word list. It is in the OED as an abbreviation, but since when can we use abbreviations? And if we can, why can we use some but not others?

      1. Right. It sure does deepen that mystery. Interesting inquiry. I’ll try to track that somehow. ✔
        Accepted:
        TBSP — Tablespoon
        TSP — Teaspoon
        Unaccepted:
        CPR — Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
        ASAP — As Soon As Possible

    PSYCHOMOTOR RHABDOM, though I admit I cheated. I knew PSYCHOMOTOR was a word and only had A, B, and D left over and knew there must be a hook-up I wasn’t seeing.

    1. It’s a great solution!
      From Merriam-Webster:
      psychomotor: of or relating to motor action directly proceeding from mental activity.
      rhabdom: one of the minute rodlike structures in the retinulae in the compound eyes of arthropods.

  5. PSYCHODRAMAS — STAB

    Found DRAMA, the PSYCHO, and on a lark connected them as I have really not seen PSYCHODRAMA much (it is definitely a medical term but just not to me).

    1. I had the opposite: PSYCHO first then DRAMA, along with the tune from ‘Psycho Killer, Qu’est ce que c’est?’ which is STILL marching on in my head and probably will for the rest of the day.
      That’s where STAB might play its part.

    1. I spent a while trying with CAPYBARAS myself, but no success. Also tried MOTORSPORT and PSYCHOMOTOR, and found PSYCHODRAMA-ABORT after a while.
