    1. half-:
      AMUZGOSʷ—SLOTBACK
      ZALUTUMUMABʷ—BACKLOGS
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      pseudo-:
      AMUZGOSʷ—SLACKTUBʷ
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      ʷ Wiktionary

    2. That must be a singular, as Alice Liang’s solver says there are no two word solutions! And I think of GOBSMACK as a uniquely English word, so this wasn’t going to be easy for an American clientele anyway. As a UK resident, kicking myself for not seeing it earlier.

      Nice one and high five!

      1. 👍Irim! Yep, my solver only found 6 or 7, some ruled out right away as being proper. I admit ZALUTUMUMAB is a stretch. That Wiktionary import I did still amazes me as to what it contains. Happy Friday to you.

  1. As the UK resident, you’d have thought I’d have gotten this quicker, but no! After ages with BACKLOGS (trying to shoehorn smutz in as shmutz, lol), also tried SLOTBACKS, but no joy. Knew there might be a Yiddish element so tried MAZUZA. Also tried MUZAK, MAZUT, before finally coming back to Yiddish and KLUTZ.

    Took a while to see GOBSMACK, which I use all the time! So GOBSMACK-KLUTZ in about 20 minutes.

    RF and Kanishk, hope to see you soonest, my lovelies!

    Good luck, all, and happy Friday!

      OA too for me.

      Well done to us Miss Irim. I hope Kanishk-boy will complete a triumphant triumvirate today. 🤗
