Well, Alice Liang couldn’t find any two word solutions!
I’m surprised to hear that! I wonder which words she was missing. To that end we could have her program generate all 3-word solutions to see which ones do NOT show up, but that’s a heck of a lot of work. My program can give all 3-word solutions too, but there may be hundreds, or even thousands. I can get 4-worders too but I don’t have the patience to wait. That’s kind of the bleeding edge of my system. 😊
I’m guessing GINKGO – I nearly misspelled it as GINKO, then remembered GINKGO, but might have thought GINGKO, which wasn’t possible. And I’d not have thought of DOGKIND, but it makes sense given MANKIND!
Saw OVERHYPED immediately, but am KICKING myself for not seeing GINKGO straightaway and wasting 20 minutes on words like INVOKED, INVEIGH, etc. Took the third time of coming around to see GINKGO and now I see from Mark that DOGKIND would have worked as well. D’oh!
Must be because I have an essay due today, so I’ll run off and tend to that. Kanishk and RF, my lovelies, hope to see you soon, good luck!
Good luck, all, and happy Tuesday!
OVERHYPED – DOGKIND.
Took a stab at DOGKIND and was surprised it was accepted. But before that I was so sure I could connect to the -O when I saw OVERHYPED. But the spelling I know from the leftovers which is GINGKO is not possible because of the N-G juxtaposition. I was slightly dismayed about that and took me a few minutes to connect to the D- instead.
Well done Miss Irim. Checking on Kanishk-boy later
I first just typed GINKO, not accepted, was outraged, then remembered it was GINKGO (looked it up to check) or I’d have made the assumption as you – it was NG and couldn’t do it.
But well done on DOGKIND, my lovely – not one I’d have thought of early on. Congratulations and Kanishk, hon, catch you soon!
OA
The OED has both GINKO and GINKGO. Scrabble has neither. Sam really should tell the world where he got his word list.
OA but came across EINKORN in my search and will be filing that away for future use
OA Today!
Saw overhyped very very quickly and assumed for a minute or two that it was the first word.
Then, concluded it must be the second word.
Because I come from a family of tree lovers I was familiar with Ginkgo but had to stretch my memory back to retrieve it.
