    1. Same here – not exactly pithy, but I’ll take it for the win after yesterday’s failure which broke a month’s streak! Couldn’t find a match for GALUMPH, LAUGHTER.

          1. Yeah, Grumbler-Repatch would’ve saved me a few hours of my life. Took a long time to get to the OA. Always hard to know on the days that take forever if it’s just a simple combo I’m not seeing or a word that is way off the beaten path. Your Whataboutisms, Thingamabobs, etc. Put down 116 words before arriving at the solution.

  1. CUMBER-RETELEGRAPH
    PATCH-HUMBLEBRAG
    PLATCH-HUMBLEBRAG
    GRUMP-PATCHABLE
    *GALUMPHER-REBATCH*
*GALUMPHER good in Collins, Wiktionary, Scrabble UK (SOWPODS)
    *REBATCH good in Wiktionary

  2. Grump patchable…
    “Well, FIX it dear Henry!”
“Ok, ok… it’s just a little hole Eliza, calm down. sheesh.”

  3. I am hoping letter boxed is only locked for subscription until end of the month. They have limited Spelling Bee to Good instead of Solid in the past when they are advertising their 75% off and it has only lasted until the end of that month. Otherwise Letter Boxed is over for me since I won’t pay for a subscription.

    1. Go to the following site:

      https://connectionsgame.io/letter-boxed-unlimited

Play the daily matrix (solve in 5-6 words just to complete it). Once you have solved it, there will be a “play unlimited” button to click. That will bring up today’s NYT matrix. You can play the first one for a two-word solve, of course, but if you are really only interested in the NYT matrix, just solve the first one quickly to get the NYT version. Have fun!

    1. PLUMBAGE°—ETCHER
      CLAUGHT°—TEMPERABLE°
      CHARGABLE°—EMPETRUM°
      CHAULMAUGRA°—ALPHABET
      CRUMBLET°—TELEGRAPHER

  4. GRUMP — PATCHABLE

Found PATCHER right away, then GRUMBLER, CHAPTER, and then saw PATCHABLE and worked back to get GRUMP.

  5. First guess was GRUMBLER* REPATCH*
sorry, but without a subscription, I can’t see if words are accepted by LB anymore so I am going to put * on all of my answers.

Tried again and came up with GALUMPHER* RATCHETABLE*
*Galumpher is good in Collins Dict. *Ratchetable is a term used in biochemistry to describe enzymes.
