SCREWUPPLINTH
OA.
OA it took 4ever. Ugh
same here, Mica
OA, but I had to look up ‘plinth”
Yup
NIHILISTS – SCREWUP. An awkward scene at the Pearly Gates.
Great! I did not see NIHILISTS
NIHILISTS / SCREWUP too.
Nihilists Screwup is an excellent answer, sorry I missed it! I found the OA Screwup Plinth pretty quickly (“seriously, how did you get it wrong? It’s not like it has a lot of moving parts….”) and stopped looking.
SCREWUP – PLINTH… busted bust
SCREWUP — PLINTH Crooked column.
Found INTERTWISTS, SPRINTERS, PRINTERS, PUNTERS
WELCHES – SUPERTUNIC
Et tu, Brute?
Excellent!
Me too!
I was similar with…
Welchers – *Superthin
🤬 Frustrating day again finding many great words, near misses, 2 word solves using all the letters, but no connection.
Todays: Priciest, Reprints, Strewn, Crispers, Phew, Twisters, Untwists, Chewiest, Stretchiest, Prestretch, Wrestlers, Eschew, Schleps, Untethers, Sunwise, Wretches, Chestnuts, Chiselers
Welchers – Sprint (no U)
Welcher – Reprints (no U)
Unperches – Silt (no W)
Untwists – Schlep (no R)
OA
Found SPLINTER(S) first, then SCREWUP. PLINTH came automatically following the same pattern for splinters with an H left over. Threw the H on the end, and lo and behold, it worked. 13/2, I’ll take it.
PLINTH = Square base supporting a statue or vase. So The Thinker sits on a plinth?
Hey Mbee! close to my name!
OA for me too … i should have gotten it a lot sooner because “plinth” is a word i heard a long time ago when i did a little bridge engineering …
😎🐝🇺🇸
Got the OA, but not before… CHESTNUTS. CHEWIEST, and WRETCHES!
UNTWIST—TELPHERIC*
UNTWISTS—SPHERICLE°
welchers – supertunic
I had to settle for UNLISTS-SPHERIC-CHEW.
OA without any screwups today.
OA (after quite a while).
I was disappointed that the ‘n’ and ‘c’ were together, because it prevented making SPHINCTER. Which would have been fun to find a good TI for (although with just having w, u, and l left, that doesn’t look too promising).
And the ‘u’ an ‘l’ together prevented making SEPULCHRE, which was a bummer too.
After interpreter untwists, western wretches and wristlets fails, I knew screwup was going to be the one and plinth followed
Also wrestled with super sprinter stretches. Also noticed LB didn’t accept Christ?
