Fail for me too. I got TWERKING very quickly but could not find a match. Same goes for GAWKING and GIRLTALK.
I managed to solve it with gloxinia. Howevewr, I was so certain a word like that wouldn’t be the OA, I kept at it trying to find a more sensible solution. Couldn’t though.

Arggghhhhhh – Not happening today. After trying every which way to make REAWAKENING work to no avail I mistakenly landed on this page short-circuiting my attempts. Glad I was foiled by my own missteps! I have never loved the word TWERKING and GLAXINIA was not in my vocabulary. Kudo’s to those who solved it. LATEWAKE is another add to my list!
Haha! I actually used Reawakening—with Gloxinia, so no T. 😆 Gloxinia was originally familiar from houseplant knowledge, then reinforced by LB where it’s been on occasion.

Yes, I believe both Twerking and Gloxinia have each appeared in OA within the last six months or so, which is the only reason I spotted them. I suspect this is a peculiar one-off, or SSSS (Strange Suspected Singular Solution).

but LB didn’t take Gore-tex, not sure if that’s because Gore-tex is hyphenated, proprietary or both.
Today’s LB did accept XEROXING but i didn’t see any good matches for it.

where Ringwalk is rejected by LB but appears as one word in Websters and hyphenated in OED. Interestingly, Websters attributes “ringwalk” to hunters, not boxers.
Anyway, to conclude this epistle i wanted to say that i read all of the comments for yesterday’s puzzle (which i missed), and the ones so far today, and all of them are enlightening or entertaining and both! i learn things by reading what all of you great people have to say!

Had a good walk today and spent some of the time trying to find a better solution than the OA (didn’t know it was the OA, and was pretty sure there was a better one in there). Did not succeed.
But, I came up with ROT–TEXTWALKING**
The second word isn’t really a word, but it probably should be. (We’ve all done it, after all.)
I’m also guessing we all saw WALKING–GORTEX(*). Of course, the second word is a proper noun—and a trademarked one at that. However, it is arguably a generecized trademark, and so I’ll allow it.
Finally I’ll add that WIKITORIAL is a real word that LB hasn’t caught up with. In today’s case, it didn’t manage to pair with something that completes the box, but still . . .
Failed today too. Extort Tweaking was my closest short of L.
