Hockeys -> subpar
Same.
Same here.
another HOCKEYS-SUBPAR. what fans of all other sports say.
My variation: CHOKEYS – SUBPAR
I’m a fan of Matilda, but didn’t know chokey was a real word!
I guess they are undesirable living arrangements.
Same
Same for me. Shocked it was accepted!
Same here, did not expect hockeys to be a word, but there we have it.
hockeys-subpar
I’m on team HOCKEYS – SUBPAR today. A little surprised the plural was accepted, but I won’t criticize a 13/2!
Same, but I admit that I added the “S” to HOCKEY our of sheer frustration. Had no idea that it would work and I’m still not sure it should have.
Same and hoping not a premonition for tonight’s big game!
Same here. I was a bit surprised the plural was accepted. TI: how played their last game?

RENDEZVOUS ??
Sir BILL DUFFIN,
Double thumbs up again!!! 👍👍
RENDEZVOUS, indeed! Wow! 🤓😉

RONDEVOUS?
A few minutes too late, I see!
Hey, TOMMM,
Wrong spelling, huhuhu! 😵💫🥴
While going over options in my head, I actually dismissed this (wrong) solution because I forgot about the Z in the middle. Only when I wrote it out and it didn’t quite look right, that I remembered. It’s great Z word for LB since it can connect very easily with other words. I will definitely add it to my “list.” 😉
😊🤗

JUMPING — GRAVITY ??

OA…
I went to get popcorn and missed the whole shower scene.
Or,
the TI’s SO gets a TRO.
In other words:
the plot of every Lifetime movie. It rarely ends well.
Too right, Jill! It’s “I Married a Psychopath“ every time.
Apparently, I gave up on Hockey/Hockeys too soon, but the OA tickled my fancy and has better TI. I’ll be r a dry spell for LB.
This site is getting weirder and weirder. It either eats my message entirely or corrupts it. Witness above. That last sentence is supposed to say “I’ll be looking to see if there are any alternatives today, after a dry spell on LB“.
This site BLOWS!
Ads, ads, ads… screw your message
OA for me too

PSYCH — HOUSEBREAK
That was a Psych plot more than once, methinks!

OA on first try, hooray!
BREAKUPS – SORCERY Not as alarming as the OA.
I had that too, but the H didn’t fit in.
Holy cats, you’re right! I’ve blithely ignored a letter left over—again! Yeesh. 🙄
PSYCH – HOUSEBREAK
PSYCH – HOUSEBREAKER

PSYCH – HOUSEBREAKER
Mind games with cat burglars.

THIS ⬆️, This!
OA in 10 minutes after 2 days of frustration.
OA for me as well.. we could come to Moderate struggle today.
Close, but I still didn’t get it today; although, I wondered all around it. Tried HOCKEY, didn’t think of HOCKEYS; however, I did BREAKUPS, which didn’t lead me to see the OA. So, I settled on BREAKUPS-SHOCK-KEY (after it told me SHOCKY wasn’t a word LOL).
OA
BREAKUP / PSYCHO as well.
I am still confused about the ‘levels’. When I log on to the NYT letter box I only see one puzzle. And I hope- yes it would ruin the fun but seems to be ruining everyones fun- how ‘AI’ would perform.
Just curious, where do you see levels? I am not a subscriber, so is that an extra feature?

Hey Linda!
I’m very late (Thursday now) getting Wednesday’s LB done.
I had PAYCHECK KOURBASH
I had to look up Kourbash:
“a tool widely employed by officials for various purposes of the state, including the obtaining of confessions from criminals, the collection of taxes, and the enforcement upon the population of the form of servitude known as corvée labor”
(from Wikipedia)
Also, I’m surprised no one else used
PAYCHECK(S)
Although PAYCHECK is something I haven’t gotten for awhile now …
