I had ARMPIT TOUGHEN for another 13/2.
I like this one a lot, WaltS! Presumably the result of excessive axillary depilitation. European ladies don’t run that risk, as we know from the works of Godard et als.
For statistical purposes, I do submit ARMPIT – TOUGHEN 13/2. I did, however, enjoy APARTMENT – TOUGHIE 16/2 and, in particular, PTARMIGAN – NOUTHER 16/2 (PTARMIGAN is what The Clash’s Joe Strummer sounded like singing instead of ‘Tommy Gun’, through which I was acquainted with the word).
ARGUMENTATION – NOMOGRAPHER 24/2 is my long solution contribution and, following yesterday’s drought, I suspect that JILL might have her work cut out again.
I instantly found, and prematurely submitted, THUMPER – RIGATONE. Probably could have done better by the numbers, but at least it’s over with quickly this way. The nod to Rabbit Ragout is accidental and unfortunate. Poor little bunnies…
