Dude
WINDSTORMS-SANITIZING struggled for awhile on this one!
Wanda astronomizing
Correction
Wada astronomizing
DRAWSTRING – GIZMO
Whatknot.
Good one.
I have a comment with a typo waiting moderation; trying at untying the excellent question of what are those whatnots… maybe…
Aglets.
Same, reasonably quickly after windstorms.
OA as well
GIZMOS / SANDWORT
Wizards-Storming
At first glance I saw WIZARDS. STORMING is easy from there.
Same here in record time
Wizards — Storming immediately
Got a little fixated on -izing words, but saw Wizards after not too long. Storming was an easy finish after that.
Same. Too quick
Same.
Same
Yep
wizards-storming
Trouble in Hogwarts?
Windstorms sanitizing
Wizards storming
I got TOWARDS – SIMONIZING right away, because I seemed to recall that SIMONIZING had been in an earlier solution. But it doesn’t turn up in a search. Very odd thing for me to hallucinate.
Isn’t Simonizing a trademarked name for the Simoniz company? I grew up with that word (all of the car body shops used it). Anyway, great find!
Nice! That was mine pretty quickly, too.
Misdraw wantonizing
Doodles… Oops! Noodle soups. (Well, that’s the way I spell it anyway… )
Wizards, storming
Fastest solve yet
For all you Mark fans out there who have mistaken him as the creme de la creme, he did miss NAGAWAZA-ADMONITORS and WADA-ASTRONOMIZING.
Ha ha Richie,!! BTW I’d watch that mesmerizing Scrabble game if you posted it on You Tube…
I would love to, but he won’t do it cause he knows I’d crush him like a grape.
WADA – ASTRONOMIZING
Got ASTRONOMZING immediately, played around with the remaining letters to find WADA. Not my best, but i’ll still take it.
WIZARDS-STRONGARM
GIZMOS — SANDWORT
I found SANDWORM right away and got SANDWORM — MONOTONIZING but LB doesn’t like SANDWORM (??)
SInce there have been so many solves using some kind of -WORT, I tried SANDWORT and GIZMO was right there so I added the S and connected to the front.
Found TRANSISTORIZING, ASTONOMIZING, GRANITIZING, ORGANIZING, MINIMIZING, and MOTORIZING.
ASTRONOMIZING
ASTRONOMIZING, GRANITIZING…
,,,Begs the question: why isn’t GASTRONOMIZING a word? Pretty sure I do it a lot…
Me too! :}
Towards Simonizing

WIZARDS STORMING
SWIM MORDANTIZING*
(Mordantizing is the process of treating a material, typically a textile fiber, with a substance called a mordant to help fix a dye to the fiber.) Per the web.
ASTRONOMIZING GAWD*
*OED
Well, I prefer Wizards Storming. Plus, it’s what popped into my head almost immediately.
WIZARDS STORMING on first try
Help me out here folks, in what dictionary “astronomizing” listed? Probably a derivitive of “astronomize” but I do not see that either. My massive Webster’s Unabridged (1800+ pages) has no entry. Granted, it is 31 years past publication date but it is all I have.
Collins and Merriam Webster have it in their online versions. And OeD has Astronomize.
My MW only has words 8-letters or shorter, since it is for Scrabble only. A handicap for LB.
WIZARDS – STORMING
Cloud conjuring
WIZARDS-STORMING, fastest I have ever gotten this puzzle
OA, just got to look at LB today. Highschool class reunion all day!very very good day.
MISANDRIST TOWZING*
*from towze, in OED, var. of touse. “towzing” itself found in “The New and Complete Dictionary of the English Language.” From 1775!
WIZARDS-STRONGARM
Another quick WIZARDS – STORMING.
Wizards-Strongarm, didn’t even think of storming!
MONOXIDE – EQUATOR
