The answers are:
VIXENSSTARCHY
Took about 3 minutes. I find puzzles with an Z, X, J or Q easier – options are less I guess.
Yup!
Too easy today😠
OA VIXENS STARCHY was hoping CHIANTI would lead somewhere.
OA for me too. A fairly quick solve after yesterday’s miserable failure. The best I could do was a cumbersome 4-word solution.
I played around with Bartleby’s profession but couldn’t get a match for it.
Same here. Even pluralized it. Eventually found the OA.
OA Vixens Starchy here too. There may be another match for Vixens besides Starchy, but Vixens is certainly required. A half-SS.
These Vixens are way more dignified than typical minxes.
OA plus the slightly longer Vixens Stratarchy
OA – almost immediate today!
VIXENS / STARCHY, and ditto!
VIXENS — STARCHY
Found STARCHY and worked back for VIXENS
Saw TEXTS and immediately thought of TEXTSPEAK, since that is evidently a real word! 🙂
Couldn’t do much EVERY, EXTRA, or CERVIX
Also found EXCRETIVE but nothing seems to pair with it.
SYNTHETIC – CERVIX just lacked A.
Thought ASYNTHETIC was a natural, but alas no.
I see what you did there 😉
Off on the same tangent with Synthetic and Cervix, and also Hyacinths, so full of false promises…
another VIXENS-STARCHY after letting go of SYNTHETIC(S).
uptight flirts.
Another day, another OA here. Didn’t take too much time. But did make the stop at Scrivener before stumbling upon the answer.
Excitants shivery
Shivering with excitement?
Nice!
Me too. Gave me goosebumps.
excitants – shivery as well
That’s great! So much for my thought that Vixens was necessary to a two-word solution.
And I, like others, savored Bartleby’s reappearance. He seems to keep popping up lately.
OA here
From the workshop’s suggestion box:
Deer (hehe) Santa,
The blankets are stiff and scratchy. Please invest in fabric softener.

Oh deer (hehe). What a mind, Mvua ☺️ !
OA too
The CREATIVE SCRIVENERS invented TRIVIA about the ANTICS of female foxes who would move at a CANTER to raid the fields of NATIVE VINTNERS and farmers to EXTRICATE the grapes, potatoes, and other VERY high-carb foods to the EXTENT that they were full before they would EXIT.
Got to OA after awhile. Lots of great words that were not quite right. Yacht was the first word I found.
So, here is a water-focused ditty I made up with some of the words I did find.
Sorry, I forgot to include the little ditty I made up. Duh.
EXCENTRIC, SATANIC, STARCHY VIXENS in SATIN jumpsuits take a CHANCE and CHARTER a CHEVY YACHT to run an EXTRA TENTH of a mile in a very ARTSY RACE. However, SHIVERY INVERTERS seize up on the luxury craft and CRASH it on the rocky shore during one very RAINY day.
OA after failing yesterday. Found FLAMBE and CRYPT but not ENCRYPT unfortunately.
OA. Found vixens early but couldn’t link at first. Restarted and tried starchy then the answer was in my face already.
*ANTIHYESTERIC – CERVIX
EXCITANT -SHIVERS
Sorry.
EXCITANT – SHIVERY
Oops. I keep messing up!
It’s

OA. It didn’t take too long this time
OA, but it took 30 minutes or so. I was playing with… Strainers, Incentive, Ranchers, Catheters first. I also thought there must be good words with Extra-, Inter-, Center-,
Not happy Extrachance wasn’t accepted.
VIXENS – STARCHY.
Found VIXENS first, and at first glance I thought it would pair with SCRATCHY — an allusion to a certain endorsement, perhaps? But alas the T-C connection made it impossible. Took a few more minutes to realize STARCHY bypassed the problem.
