The answers are:
FAJITAACROPHOBE
Objectifier – Raphe
Me too. Sad I can’t see a theme in this one, but happy to be done.
This is such a great solution for such an ugly jumle of letters!
Slightly more efficient alternative: Paho Objectifier. Two obscure new words added to the store (and quickly forgotten).
Embarrassingly, I had Fajita and Acrophobe right out of the gate, but was blind to the pairing.
Same here, sort of. Had fajita-acrophobic and was blind to the E being usable.
Same here.
Me too!
Same. Is repatch a words in anyone’s dictionary? It is definitely not an lb word. I had objectifier rather quickly and wanted repatch for the win but eventually found raphe after a struggle.
Same experience here—except I never found raphe. Objectifier just took care of so many letters!
I also found Fajita and looked at -phobia, but they didn’t hook up.
objectifier raphe as well.
OA for me today.
Gave up pretty quickly
same. After about my fourth trip to a word finder I realized discretion was the better part of valor.
I was working for twenty minutes and I had objectifier the whole time, but couldn’t make anything out of the remaining APH. Turns out there was something.
Gave up, but not so quickly. But it helped take my mind off a very bumpy plane ride!
👍
Got FAJITA. Most of the time if I fail I got half of the OA.
I had ACROPHOBE but completely missed fajita
Well, that took a lifetime this morning, OA in the end.
Spent forever trying to pair FIBEROPTIC, well done to those who spotted OBJECTIFIER!
FIBEROPTIC pairs with CHAPARAJO, and fortunately both are recognized as words by LB.
My other solution was OBJECTIFIER—RACEPATH. LB did not recognize the second word.
FWIW, none of these words are recognized by the device that I’m typing into. All four of them have red, dotted underscores.
Kudos to those who went with -PHOBE. Like MACJEDI, I experimented with -PHOBIC and -PHOBIA, but not the simpler suffix. I also experimented with FAJITA (as did most of us, I imagine).
Hey, Chaparajo would’ve worked with Objectifier!
Hey, cool!
When I can’t find a 2-solve, sometimes I try to find a really inefficient 3-solve 🙂
REFRACTOR-REJOICER-REHAB (22/3)
Just the OA for me today, but I learned a couple of new words, thanks to the mavens: RAPHE and PAHO (though PAHO is not a PSW). I am impressed that people were able to find anything other than the OA at all. It seemed like a highly contrived array.

I get really irritated when I am told “it is not a word!!” Oh yes it is, maybe not in your mind, but YES it is and you can easily find a definition for it. Because this puzzle or whatever it is called is do hard, why can’t you at least say, “not in our word list!” I can’t believe how many times I am told not a word when in fact they are. So, why do you say such a thing? Thanks, and no I don’t feel any better.
OA again today. Spent awhile looking for something with ~JOB, but couldn’t find anything. I think I’m dialed into Ezersky, because FAJITA felt exactly like the kind of word he’d use. Spotted ACROPHOBIA just before that, but almost missed ACROPHOBE (and probably would have if not for finding them so close together and how nicely they linked up).
Is FAJITA in the OED? Grr… I gave up after seeing no long j words each time I looked at the puzzle.
