The answers are:
JURISTSSPANDEX
JURISPRUDENT TAX
Same.
Same also. I thought it would be the OA. Close though.
I also thought my answer to yesterday’s would be the OA, correctly that time.
JURISPRUDENT / TAX here, too.
Jurisprudent Tax also.
Love it when the first word kills 10 letters!
Same, also Jurisprudents Sax. Really the OA is best, but it never occurred to me to try Spandex…
Same
Same, assumed it would be the OA
Same
Same
OA for me today.
OA also
when they stopped having a dress code in courtrooms
Lol
OA as well.
Lovely alternative answer, folks! I settled with one-shy TAJINE-EXTRUDES. Waved goodbye to JUJITSU, JUNTAS and EXPANDS.
The OA popped up.
And I never knew DISJUNE, but it’s a PSW. 🍳🥓☕
JURISTS—SPANDEX
DISJUNE* ⟷ EXTIRPATED
EXTIRPATED ⟷ DISJUNE*
JURISPRUDENTS—SEXTANTS
JURISPRUDENT—TESTATRIX*
Nice started with extirpated but moved on too quickly apparently
Thanks Oscar, also EXPATRIATE(D), but I didn’t see that one right away.
I failed to find anything to work with testatrix, so ended up with the OA.
It accepted Nduja but couldn’t work that into a 2 word answer either.
Wow, good one, I’ll have to add NDUJA to my list.
testatrix is now accepted by LB. I wonder how many other words get added late in the day,
Waived goodbye to jujitsu and expatriated/s.
Didn’t know JURISTS was a word. Couldn’t partner SPANDEX with anything, nor JURIES, NEXT, SEXISTS, PASTRIES, JAUNTIEST, EXTENDS, PRIX, EXUDES, DUXES, DEXTRIN, or TUXES. Really tough set of letters for me today.
Ended up with JAUNTIEST TUXES SPRINTED.
OA, need to comfortable when in court all day.
My answer was JURISPRUDENT and TAX
Is anyone else surprised that SPANDEX was accepted? I typed it in as an act of purest optimism. Isn’t it a actually trademarked brand name, or something like that? Anyhow, I recognize that it’s been generalized into common parlance, but I don’t expect LB to cross over like that.
Like Kleenex and Xerox, which evidently are also PSWs.
Yes!!! Velcro was not accepted a while back but spandex is!
I’m really disappointed JAPANISE isn’t accepted, because then there would be JAPANISE -> EXTRUDE as a solution >:(
My guess is that their dictionary is based off the Merriam dictionary, since the Merriam dictionary has the -IZE form but not the -ISE form. The Collins dictionary has both forms though. (And also, for what it’s worth, SPANDEX is in both Merriam’s and Collins’ dictionaries).
I didn’t know that jurisprudent could be plural. In that case it could pair with sax
Bombed today. Saw Jurists but didn’t see Spandex.
OA – another fairly quick one.
jurisprudent / tax
jurisprudents / surtax
jurisprudents / sax
jurists / spandex
jurisprudents / spadix
jurisprudents / sextant
