After I saw Davel’s answer, I knew that had to be the one. SERENDIPITY is such a great word!
After Jerkin Nonoptimal was rejected I stared unhappily at Injet Treponemal for a while before noticing the quite nice OA and its companion Jerk Kleptomania. Nice finds by others in a tough array!
JERK-KLEPTOMANIA also. Hard to beleive K was the connecting letter.

I recently used PHYTOPLANKTON as part of a solve and knew about the various types (HOLO, MERO, PHYTO, ZOO, etc). When I typed in JIM I fully expected it to be rejected as a formal name, but to my delight, it was accepted. I had no idea about it being the name of the fifth arabic letter. I didn’t even think of KLEPTOMANIA (best word today so far).
Nice one! Also, I’ll be adding that list of plankton to my word bank…
I missed again, giving up after a plausible answer was rejected – this time it was MARJORAM MINKPELT. Well, if “minkpelt” isn’t an acceptable word then “Marjoram Minkpelt” will just have to be the name of the antagonist in a young adult novel.
