GAZEBOOUTSKIRTS
OA but with singular skirt

Me too!
GAZEBOS-STRIKEOUT
Well going to give up on more for now and off to bed. OUTBREAKS was promising but could find no proper matches although both Gizo (a Solomon island) and sizigi ( a beautiful photo project of low tides) were a nice distraction. Good days and nights to everyone
Sleep well OSCAROO
I played with OUTBREAKS for a bit too and wildly hoped GIZO was a word (could have been GIZMO if there was an M!), but at least that helped me notice GAZEBO.
GAZEBOS – STRIKEOUT.
Same
NK! Played with OUTBREAK(S), SUBZERO, OUTSKIRT(S), TUGBOATS), SKIBOATS, BREAKAGE(S), ZIGZAGS, and didn’t see GAZEBO (Oy)…
same… I really wanted outbreaks, zigzags or stargazers to work 🥲
Also same
Me three. Noone wanted to buy gazebos for those wrecked bungalows.
😁
same. left me exhausted after airstrikes, stargazers and bugbears were dead ends. prayed for it to not be gazeebo.
GAZEBOS / STRIKEOUT too.
Same
GAZEBOS – STRIKEOUT
Whiffed with Strikebreaker – Rouge (no Z) and Outsizes – Strikebreaker (no G).
I was down to my last strike.
Same here. I preferred it, for its baseball theme, over the more efficient but unsatisfactory Gazebo Outstrike. Never saw Outskirts plural, much less Outskirt singular. That’s a thing?

Gazebo – Outstrike
Same here! I wasn’t sure OUTSTRIKE was going to be accepted, so had GAZEBOS-STRIKEOUT as a backup.
I do not like today’s puzzle. Found OA after a frustrating 30-45 minute of shuffling OUTBREAKS, STRIKEBREAKERS, STARGAZERS, SUBZERO, TAKEOUTS .
Wow I didn’t notice any of those except OUTBREAKS.
I had a similar experience – I spent forever on words like outbreaks, strikebreakers, stargazers, egregious, breakages and gregarious
Not as efficient as OA but
Gazebos Strikeout
BOUSOUKIS* – STARGAZER. Ptolemy’s high school yearbook entries?
Hey DW – that was my answer too! at about 7:30am my time (11:30 blog time) and i didn’t get around to posting until now because i had to get to a meeting …
and, i was going to ask if anyone noticed that while BOUSOUKIS was rejected by LB, we had the letters for the more common BOUZOUKIS, and also BAZOUKIS, but the puzzle was deliberately laid out to block the sequencing of those two words.
7:30am my time yesterday (Tuesday)
OA after so many that didn’t work: breakages, subzero, outbreak…. Good puzzle today.
GAZEBOS — STRIKEOUT
GAZEBOES — STRIKEOUTS
I couldn’t do anything with TZATZIKI or ZAKUSKA/ZAKUSKI (I always gravitate toward food-related words! 🙂 )
Yum! Zakuski sounds like a great idea. I also tried tzatziki, breakage , gauze, outbreak, etc.Never got a solution, but it was a fun assortment to play with. 👍
After coming up empty yesterday, today’s OA came quickly. Again the brain is a mysterious phenomenon!
what does oa mean?
Official Answer. You will also see TI, meaning Thematic Integrity, and sometimes ALIOW, meaning “at least it’s over with”. And also PSW, meaning Permitted Scrabble Word.
gazebo – outstrike
Also Gazebo Outstrike after failures with Strikeout, Outbreaks and to my great disappointment, Stargazer.
Took a long break and it wasn’t until I turned Strike and Out around I saw Gazebo.
Never saw out strikes at all. Just fooling around with “outskirts” and there was gazebo waiting to come first.
GAZEBOS – STRIKEOUT, followed quickly by GAZEBO – OUTSKIRT. Took the scenic route getting there after many failed attempts with OUTBREAK(S), STARGAZE(RS), OUTSIZE, BREAKAGE(S), and more I’m sure I’m forgetting. 🥴 Felt good to nail this one down!
I spent way, way, way too much time trying to get STARGAZERS and OUTBREAKS to work. I finally looked elsewhere and found
GAZEBO-OUTSKIRT(S).
My weary brain don’t even recognize OUTSKIRT until I saw it spelled out!
