BIRTHMARKKNOWING
Official answer today, feel their should be something shorter. Tried to make nighthawk work for a while.
Oops, “there should be ….”
Nighthawk: nice! It’s tantalizing.
Official answer for me too.
Another official answer.
I see only the official. It accepted “brightwork”, but I couldn’t pair that with anything else. Tough set of letters today. Hopefully someone can break it open.
BRIGHTWROK—KOHANIM
Official here too. I always have problems with Bs and usually with Ks as well so I’m just glad I got it in 2, honestly.
Seriously, give me a Q or a Z or even a dastardly J over a B any day, I’ve got a serious letter B mental _lock.
Given the constrained word list this game uses, this is almost certainly another single-solution puzzle, which I find maddening.
BROMIN – NIGHTHAWK should work. BROMIN is an actual word.
What *is* the source for the word list? I too have had legit words shot down, but have wonky words go through no prob. I’m curious what they use.
Down at the bottom of the opening screen, it says “Powered by Oxford”. Dunno–could be the dictionary, university, or shoes?
I find that vewy wisible, Centuwian, er, I mean, Judy!
Wight (that is also a word)! 🙂
Official and not as slow as usual.
Nothing but official answer here. Many temptations (nighthawk, workman, knight, inhibition, oh yes, I tried them all!) but as far as I can tell, only one solution….
Nothing but the official answer here, either. I too gave BROMIN – NIGHTHAWK a whirl -to no avail, as with BRIGHTWORK, WORKBAG, BAGWORM, WORKMAN, BRINKMAN, THRAWING, THROWING (& its surprising anagram INGROWTH) etc.. Rather messy this one!
I spent an inordinate amount of time with brightwork, but found nothing to use the remaining 3 letters. So, a ‘fail’ for me.
