BANJOOUTWEIGH
OA in under 15 minutes.
OA.
OA Too.
OA after hoping HABITUATION would work.
OA as well but not very quickly. Glad to solve today’s after failing yesterday.
Another relatively quick OA. Started with HIJAB which left OUTWEIGH + N. So then started over with OUTWEIGH and BANJO was just sitting there. Easy peasy. Lemon Squeezy. Have a great Friday!
Banjo
Outweigh
OA fairly quick
OA in about 20 minutes after failing with WHITEOUT. And I came close to a solve using GANJA but that went up in a puff of smoke.
😁
Is in about 30 minutes.
Toiled with… Hangout, Nougat, Whiteout, Toungue, (didn’t accept Tonguejob😂), Hijab, Outwent.
Bonewhite also not accepted
*OA in 30
OA Banjo Outweigh right out of the box. Another one-off, two days running? Brings to mind the old joke: What is perfect pitch? It’s when you pitch an accordion into a dumpster and it lands on a banjo…
Haha.
Same swift solution here. Balancing yesterday’s angst when I just couldn’t see DISAVOW 😫
Definitely a one-off, although, accordion (get it?) to the OED, ABJUGATE is a word, so it stands to reason that ABJUGATION should be as well … but it isn’t there. If it had been, ABJUGATION – NONWHITE would arguably have been an alternative, although not for me, as I play with the Scrabble word list.
toughie today.
BANJO — OUTWEIGH
Spent a lot of time with HABITUATION, AGITATION, NOTATION, GIGATON, etc. I was sure that the suffix ATION would be part of the solve.
Too early in morning for me to do big words like those … first word i saw was ABOUT and then after that it was all 4 letter words for the longest time … TWIG … GONE …
I got BONGO fairly early but didn’t think BANJO right then …
I once knew a 16 year old girl banjo player … not in Appalachia, but Washington DC … daughter of some important Fed guy … she would be about 58 now …
J is the key today, but i kept trying EJ and JE things – i really wanted to do JETBOAT but the OA side won’t allow it.
I got OUTWEIGH but didn’t think much of it since so few words end in O, but then seeing the B and J it just magically appeared. 🙂
Likewise. Tried BIOHABITAT also. Seemed like a winner, but no luck.
OA in under a minute – amazing what one can “see” when pressed for time!
BANJO—OUTWEIGH
🪕⚖️
The original heavy metal music!
LOL – good one MVUA! Got OUTWEIGH fairly quickly but teed off on the H instead of looking at the front end. Ran out of options after HIJAB left the N so pivoted and then BANJO crashed into my head 🙂
Couldn’t get there in the time I allowed myself. Had to settle for WHITEOUT-TANGO-OBJET
BANJO – OUTWEIGH
His acoustic picking was wowing the audience, until the electric ukulele showed up.
Too easy when even I get it in less than 2 minutes!
OA pretty quickly thankfully.
Me too! Haven’t had a solve in a while. Makes my day!
OA. Under 10 mins?
I had a longneck banjo for a while; it wasn’t that heavy. Just awkward to carry around on a bicycle
banjo – outweigh
OA quick for a change
OA took about 15 minutes. Found BANJO before OUTWEIGH.
TI: when the sound mixer is really partial to bluegrass
There was 1 solution today…
Here is the full list including Scrabble words:
** Don’t look at the list if you haven’t finished solving the puzzle **
(The first number is a count and the second number is the number of letters used)
1 – 13 banjo / outweigh
Wow! Does that happen often?
Wow, that IS noteworthy, considering other possibilities pop up so frequently here. 😯
OA Hooray
