Okay, looks like i’m the first one to not get the OA … mine is:
MIDFLIGHT THRUTCHING
when i type “thrutching” in by itself, LB says “Genius!” or maybe “Nice!”.
LB doesn’t like “midflight” and turns out Webster’s doesn’t either – they have “midair” and “flyby” and “in-flight” but i couldn’t get a “midflight” out of them.
OED hyphenates it as “mid-flight”
But i can type all the letters in sequence to the grid and i was tired of messing with it so i decided to just bring it here as-is!

I had never heard of THRUTCHING before, but I will keep that on my list of “strange but true Letter Boxed words.” 🙂 MINDFUL does use the remaining letters, but I don’t see any prefixes or suffixes to connect.

i typed in “Lurching” by itself too and thought at first that it would be the first word of the OA since it had that nice symmetrical pattern of leftover letters:
T . F at the top
D . M at the bottom
but i couldn’t see any good matches.

I also got MINDFUL LURCHING GUT, ha! Somehow missed Mid- and Night though I got other -ight words. Mindful was the only -ful that I found. I kept looking for compound or two-part words with -thing or -drum -fright -right -light etc. Never saw Fulcrum; good OA, which eluded me.

I also did MIDFLIGHT at first. LB didn’t accept it, so then I thought about, and I said “What about MIDNIGHT?” I did MIDNIGHT, that worked, and I later found FULCRUM afterwards.

OA for me. Earlier in the day I couldn’t see anything much except a bunch of consonants and maybe two vowels and couldn’t get them together. So I let it go. Came back about 10 minutes ago and I figured it out in 5 minutes. Sometimes distance helps.
Humiliated on this one. I tried LURCHING, CLUTCHING, etc., but totally missed both FULCRUM and MIDNIGHT. ☹️
