          1. @Wilson, I did use my brain when I built my solving system, which I’ll continue to use. Sometimes I’ll include non-LB words that are in OED, Merriam-Webster, and/or Wiktionary, as others do here as well. Thanks. ☕

      1. Great minds – high five! Hope all is well. Yeah, I knew it was something around ‘TOXINS’ (AX on the same side was devilish) or ‘OXTAILS’, kicking myself for not seeing scholarship, but when I had CHINSTRAP, I stared for ages, knowing it or CHINSTRAPS had to work. I was more a zoologist than botanist in my degree, so that’s my only excuse!

Happy Monday, hope all is well!

        1. Darn it, should have read my whole note through before posting. Or be consistent in where I put ‘all is well’. 😀

  1. PATRIARCHALIST – TOXIN. Not happy with my inefficient solution. Tried to pair SPHINX for what seemed like hours to no avail. PHLOX is a new word for me. 23/26

  2. Toxins scholarship (thought it would be the OA so looked for sonething to match Phlox, but did not see Chinstrap.)

    ANARCHIST TOXOPHILIA*
    *”love of arrows”
    also related to poisons
*A Nurses’ Handbook for Hospital, School and Home.

      1. Thx Bill. No luck with Piscatorial!

        I did find PARATOXINS* SCHOLAR

        * treatment for tuberculosis. “The American Journal of Clinical Medicine, 1909.”

  3. CALTROPS – SPHINX here after many failed attempts to pair PHLOXIN. Kudos to those of you who found SCHOLARSHIP. Having 2 daughters in college I can’t believe I missed that invaluable asset!
