AZIMUTHHENPECK

There once was an AZIMUTH man,
Who charted each course with a plan.
But at home he’d reflect,
Quite thoroughly HENPECKed,
As the compass just spun in her hand.
🙂
I would stick to the puzzle
No
OA. Sorry, I just had to pitch in:
The henpeck’d sailor,
Takes a midnight azimuth,
On wintery seas.
That would be ANATHEMA wouldn’t it Mark! Perhaps Adrian is ANTIPATHIC when it comes to limericks. I say on these slow days add everything that comes to mind!
LB ers are a pretty verbal lot, I wonder if there’s a good descriptive ANTHEM
Yes, there is an ENTICEMENT to find an AUTHENTIC LB limerick on these slow days. 🙂
Nice…
AZIMUTH – HENPECK here.
Azimuth Henpeck

There’s nothing much to be done with the Z. So I know it has to be AZIMUTH. I kept coming back to it to no avail. Until it’s time to pray the rosary. After praying, I tried AZIMUTH again and HENPECK somewhat assembled itself instantaneously. I sort of invented HENPECK as a stab in the dark. But, well, I’ve heard HENPECK before from a long distant memory.

OA. Took quite awhile to come up with a Z word other than Ziti. Finally saw Azimuth. Didn’t take long to finish after that. 23/24.
OA; saw AZIMUTH immediately but HENPECK took way too long to see. Also spotted HENTAI, MATHEMATIC and CENTUM. Looks like a singular solution today. 21/24
AZIMUTH HENPECK here, fairly quickly after being a bit too invested in PNEUMATIC. I’m thinking you’re right on that, with too many restrictions like no IZE/TE/CH/ZINE etc.
But that also meant no real options like chazanim/mechitza, etc.
Opposite here, played around with a few things, and after trying HENPECK, AZIMUTH jumped right out.
OA
OA. Done in a flash.
“The light of the moon, clear as the light of day, was on the sea; and the Patna, with the azimuth circle on her bridge, seemed to be rushing through a great silence.” Joseph Conrad, “Lord Jim”
Azimuth was easy. Didn’t get henpeck until my wife made me take my feet off the couch and I listened
OA, not a lot or words to work with for the z.
Famous last words: “Woman, why you always HENPECKIN’ me?!! Now whatchoo doin’ with my gun? I swear, you’re nasty AZIMUTH…”
OA after a while with Muzak
OA after playing with Muzak, Mathematic, Pneumatic…and absolutely nothing but Azimuth with the Z
