    1. Same here, got the OA after an hour. Got FORTNIGHT, FRIGHTEN, FREAKING, KAYAKING, FATHERING, FROTHING, INTERFERING, RIGHTIFY, and YANKING. Once I focussed on Y as the pivot letter things became easy.

      19/21, 46/52
      Current streak: 11

      1. Same here – late today because I’ve had a full day of sessions at theological college, had half an hour before dinner, hadn’t solved it, came back after evening activities and was done in 10 minutes. I suddenly saw YOKING, put it in and went YES! Hope the student in the next room didn’t hear me, as it’s now after 10pm, LOL.

      1. Forethinking* – Goaty
        **OED

        also found…
Refighting and Frightening (leaving just “okay, oaky, kayo”)

        Threatening, Freaking, Refortify, Fortnight

  1. WEnt with HAYFORK KITENGE after battling with words like RETHANKING, GINKGO and GHERKIN.

    also HAYFORK KENTING*
    *OED

    FORENIGHT* TOKAY
    *OED, MW

  2. Just for fun:
    AFORK KNIGHTERY

I kind of got sidetracked today by trying out nonce words. I toyed with KNIGHTERY and found examples of it used in OED as “carpet-knightery” which is a Shakespearean-era insult of someone who becomes a knight by being dubbed so on a carpet rather than earning the title in battle. Sir Andrew Aguecheek, for example.

I then matched it with the only thing I could come up with: AFORK. That turns out to be computer shorthand for “Asynchronous Fork” — an alt to “vfork”. Time to take a break. 🙂
