          1. Similar journey. The OA, Givens Showboat (Robin’s latest project), along with Inveighs, Genetives, Vintages, Negatives, and Negativities Showboat, AND Bobweight Tantivies, vottever dot means!

    1. After beating my brains out yesterday and finding ZERO solutions using ANY number of words, I got the OA very quickly today.

      1. Same here. I spent a long time with the I-G-H-T combination and got nowhere. I figured that I needed to clear out the O, B and W as those were the letters that were holding me back, and quickly found SHOWBOAT.

  1. OA… basically had both words, and was beating my brains until it occurred to me that GIVEN could be pluralized.

    1. OA here too. Also INVESTIGATed for awhile between finding showboat and givens. I was happy bc I really wanted to use showboat.

    2. I wanted badly for investigative to work as well, I believe it’s the longest word I’ve been able to string together on LB!

  2. OA – after trying all sorts of nights, sights and eights, along with waist. Found BOWSHOT first then SHOWBOAT and was pleasantly surprised when GIVENS was accepted.

  3. I couldn’t solve in two words. I needed three. But I got to spell out one of my favourite words: GEWGAWS, which was accepted. It is a fave in its own right but also because when I used it one day, my adult children accused me of making it up.

    1. There was someone here recently who surmised that ALIOW meant All Letters In One Word! Weirdly inventive. I never would’ve thought it could mean anything other than “at least it’s over with”!

  4. I didn’t know GIVEN could have an -s , I had seen Given, got SHOWBOAT, Vestiges, etc, almost gave up with 3w with SEVENTIES and SHOWBOAT, oh Banishes looked promising too… but quickly saw VINTAGES SHOWBOAT, thought it would be the OA.

  5. Got vintages showboat also in the end, spent far too long trying to find something to pair with Shenanigans because I really wanted it to work.

    1. Among other things, I had been trying to find combinations with SHOW, and then thought of SHOWBOAT, and it was easy after that. As a mathematician, it was easy to think of GIVENS as a plural, meaning the assumptions or hypotheses of a problem.
