The answers are:
LUNKHEADDINGBAT
Baulk Knighted 13/2
Same here with BAULK – KNIGHTED. Surprised it wasn’t the official answer, but often the puzzle masters prefer funny and/or themed answers over the shortest ones. This one came to me in record time, but you beat me to it even so… Again the early bird gets the word!
Maybe because, according to lexico.com, BAULK is the British version of BALK. Or the editor just enjoys the overwrought epithet of “You lunkhead dingbat!”.
Hi bernie,
I really admire how quickly you seem to get these answers. today was a slow one for me but i got unthinkable-egad. i’m just trying to reach your coolness level each day.
That’s so sweet, Joan! I’m kvelling! Hope you’re not too disappointed in me after TODAY’S puzzle.
I found the same two words.
Kudos!
Like you it takes me a while to crack the puzzle for a 2-word solution
HABITUATED DING GELD DUNK
UNTHINKABLE — EGAD 15/2
Unknighted – datable
Yup. BAULK KNIGHTED 13/2
KNIGHTING-GUIDABLE
UNTHINKABLE – ENDING (or EGAD)
I was really hoping for Meathead/Dingbat because the American sitcom “All in the Family” was pivotal in moving people’s minds away from racism, misogyny and anti-intellectualism.
I will settle for:
LUNKHEAD/DINGBAT
UNKNIGHTED DEBATABLE
UNTHINKABLE – EGAD
15/2
Knighted/
dutiable
