I used to enjoy beer that way, as far back as the early 1990s (using regular shot glasses, of course). Delighted to know the idea caught on (so much so that mini beer mugs have been introduced)! Five or so years prior to that, I had also been initiated to -counter-intuitively- mixing beer with grenadine by some bloke with a warped sense of taste in regard to cocktails.
I only occasionally use a little alcohol in this day and age and, when it comes to beer, I’m back to going about it the traditional way.

I was wondering if it would be much of an ask for the site administrators to change its appearance into how other fora work, i.e. present comments in chronological order and prefix in italics comments that are replied to; I’d appreciate DW’s regarded view on it, given he’s explicitly admitted knowing his onions over these issues.
That would be nice, but the whole structure of this site is clunky and limiting. An architecture such as Discord’s would be preferable.
Not sure why, but I sorta like the “clunkiness” and the simplicity of it. The contrast to the group of Brainiacs on here is comforting in some way. I come from a background of over-production of everything. This is very refreshing!
I unreservedly apologize if I misconstrued your view, but it struck me as a tad rarefied -a bit like a billionaire moving to a slum just because “buying islands and smoking cigars all day can get incredibly boring”. Either way, the fundamental functionality of the website (rather than any over-sophistication) is what the initial argument was meant to be about.
