      1. Yep, I think the orthopaedic surgeons will be a lot more impressed with my solution today than the opticians will! 🙂

  1. Woah. The very first word I tried was Adjustable (was going for adjure and then realised the letters weren’t there), and then chia came about 20 seconds later. So weird considering I spent three or more hours a few days back and still didn’t solve it!

    1. Similar pathway for me, HY! Just by checking the letter set, I figured I’d be in it for the long haul; then ADJUST sprang to mind and it all, pretty much, fell into place. I’d hazard a guess that ADJUSTABLE is indispensable to any solution.

      1. Just because I was so quick off the mark getting to a solution, I was completely wrong with my assessment of all the SUB- (&, in particular, SUBJECT) options. I’ll, therefore, be happy to have my words rammed back down my throat by our posse’s inexhaustible resources!

      2. Yeah, Sota21, I think you’re right re: Adjustable being indispensable. I think I’m part of might also be the placement of the letters around the square. It just jumps out and seems several people have found it extremely easy. Possibly just an easy day today. There are some where I find easily 100 words and still no solution though!

    1. I had it as CHEEBA (from the Harlem Underground Band tune that Tone Lōc also did a version of). Apparently, that spelling is also accepted…

    “a questionable spiritual struggle?”

So far it’s the only solution I’ve found that does not contain ‘sub*’ or ‘adjust*’.

  3. Took me a while today, as I spend too much time trying to find a partner for ‘subject able’.
