  1. I stumbled upon this right away, and just knew it would be the official answer.
But wasn’t there a yolk in the mix just a few days ago?

    1. It was, indeed, Jill; and it’s one that, for some reason, seldom enters my thought process, though it can, in many cases, come in really handy. Nice contributions from all, so far, keep it up!

    1. Two possible 13/2 solutions that were not accepted are MOLYS STINKBUG and MOYLS STINKBUG. MOLYS are a wild garlic and MOYLS are circumcisers(?). MOLYS seems to be another word that exists in UK Scrabble word lists but not in the US version.

  2. Rather surprised to find that BUMBOYS – SKINTLING was allowed. Neither word is in Chambers. Google says the first word is offensive and had trouble finding the second one.

  3. Boring old official answer here, but I’m enjoying the extravagance of alternatives on offer, especially the nuttier ones. Amid the stinky gumbos and gumboils (vottever dose are), Bumboys Skintling really stands out. That’s gotta to be unique in the history of this puzzle, do good going, Goblin! And how cool is it that your own posting name is in the mix!
