    1. Could only get it in 3 words. AMBITION NARCOTICS (or NARCS) SOLD
or DRASTIC COMBS SLANT or CONDITIONAL LIMBS STIR

    1. I had MANDOLA ABSTRACTION mostly because ABSTRACTION jumped out at me right away and then it was about fitting the rest. I did also learn that Mandola is to the Mandolin what Viola is to the Violin. Always a win for me to learn something new.

  1. ARMBANDS – SOLICIT. I, too, object that the game disallowed CONTRABANDS – SLIM. Both are perfectly good words.

    1. I tried to use CONTRABANDS, too, but, if you think about it, it makes sense to disallow it. CONTRABAND, when used as a noun, refers to any amount of contraband items; you can’t have “a contraband.”

    1. CONTRABAND / DOMICILS here, too. Took me a long time today; I kept trying to use CONTRAIL(S) or BANDITO(S).

  2. Bernie Horowitz

I ended up more or less accidentally with Conditionals Sambar for a whopping 18/2. Plus it took forever to get there, AND I had no idea what a Sambar was! Deeply unsatisfying. This puzzle was a beast!
