NINJAS-SUBPHYLUM in about 10 minutes. The only serious previous word attempt was HIJABS. Everything else was stymied by AMN (e.g., pyjamas/pajamas, etc.), no PY or ILY. I was surprised JAINS (members of a religion) weren’t an option, but glad my science background paid off!

I must have tried almost hundred different words – nonsensical words I invented on my own. JASMINS, INJABS, INJUMPS, JUMPINS, JAINS (I was shocked this was not accepted, too!)
Left the puzzle alone for a bit, and after five minutes, as if magically, NINJAS came into my head. So NINJAS – SUBPHYLUM here – glad we all three made it! Tried pairing HIJABS too.
