OLFACTIVE EMPTY here too, but never would have stumbled on it without looking at a word-check site. I totally get the appeal of playing word games to increase your vocabulary, and even the use of outside references to pull up unfamiliar words, no matter how obscure… But I feel like part of the purpose of even playing a game like Letter Boxed is to test your own vocabulary and see what you can pull up from memory and piecing etymological clues together to come up with an answer. It seems like a lot of that spirit of the game is getting lost with some of the recent OAs.
