BUCKETED – DIMPLY…
“Henry, those ain’t holes, they’re just little dents. Now, go fetch the water!!”
“Yes, Liza.”
Same.
BUCKETED – DIMPLY
Forms of depression. Wasn’t that already covered in Connections?
I was close to the OA, but went with the slightly less efficient BUCKETED-DUMPILY. Done quite early today. Well, at least won’t be distracted watching my boys play soccer literally all day.

PICKETED — DUMBLY
BUCKETED — DUMPILY
I found BUCKED — DUMPILY but that left out the T. It wasn’t until I found PICKETED and DUMBLY that I thought of BUCKET/BUCKETED. I couldn’t do much with UTILITY, EMPTILY, or IMBECILITY.
Bucketed dumpily
BUCKETED, DIMPLY seems rather forced/ contrived. (Is the word DIMPLY ever used?)
PICKETED, DUMBLY seems the more obvious combination.
How does LETTERBOXED choose the words? Is it done by humans? Or a computer? Curious!
Bucketed dimply

PICKETED DUMBLY
Kembed duplicity OED mw
Bemucked duplicity a rare obsolete form of bemocked, Simon might be familiar with it.
Good one! It’s in the English Dialect Dictionary, 1898. “Soiled, made dirty.”
UPCLIMBED* DICKETY**
*MW
**slang from The Simpsons, “twenty”
But also used in Mother Goose rhyme as in “zickety, dickety, dock, the mouse ran up the clock.”
🙂
OA after stuck in DUPLICITY
OA in about 20 seconds. Quickest for me by far.
