      1. OA (PROBIOTIC-CHUCKLE) after playing with
        PROCTOR
        PICKET/THICKET,
        TROUBLE(R) /ROUBLE
        ETHIC
        CRITIC /CRICKET
        Words with CLUB- LUCK- PROBE which lead to PROTHETIC to PROBIOTIC

    1. Same… OA after playing with Phobic and others first. I thought for sure there was a “something-phobic” word.

      Also distracted with… Thicker, Trickle, Troubler, Public, Crucible

          1. TUBELIKE-EPICHORIC
            *PHOTIC-CHERUBLIKE*
            *PHOTIC good in OED, Merriam-Webster, Collins
            *CHERUBLIKE good in Merriam-Webster, Collins, Wiktionary

        1. Yes that was mine! Tried for ages with CHECKOUT. and CHECKUP but then adding ER to prohibit got me to RUCKLE which didn’t know was a word!

  1. LEPTOKURTIC—CHUB (+ many more)
    REPUBLIC—CHECKOUT
    COCKPIT—THURIBLE
    PROHIBIT—TRUCKLE
    PHOTOBIOTIC—CHURCHLIKE

      1. PHILTER—ROEBUCK
        BROTHERLIKE—EPICURE
        LITHOTRIPTER—REBUCKLE
        ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
        TRUTHLIKE—EPIBIOTIC°
        BIBLIOKLEPT°—TREBUCHET
  2. BROTHERLIKE — EPICURE
    Found BROTHER and LIKE and on a whim joined them. I have really never seen BROTHERLIKE, but I guess that you can attach LIKE onto just about anything and get a word. Fast solve for a Sunday!
    1. I take that back. LB doesn’t accept CHERUBLIKE, BRICKLIKE, or CUBELIKE.
      It does take TUBELIKE, but I can’t connect it.
  3. Regarding PHOBIC, I find it odd that a lot of phobias are in the dictionary, but not if one uses the adjective version containing phobic.
    Cases in point
    TELEPHOBIA and EPHEBIPHOBIC
    Hence TELEPHOBIC* CHUCKER* (MW)
    Or TRUCKLE EPHEBIPHOBIC*
    And in the funny dept.
    PHUCK is in Wiktionary as is PHUCKING.
    But PHUCKER isn’t. Go figure.
    Nevertheless PHUCKER* ROBOTLIKE could work one day in the age of AI.
  4. Went down lots of promising paths, finally stuck THURIBLE on the end of COCKPIT as a whim, and when it turned out to be a legit word I sort of remembered running across it before (a censer, for burning incense).
  5. Republic checkout here after several short episodes of “come back to” got republic early thought perceptible horticulture theoretic tubercule receptible crucible epicure rebuckle might work
