        1. OA here as well. Didn’t post yesterday, but was pretty surprised Cornflake was accepted. Only reason I think I got it was because it’s my son’s favorite cereal.

    1. NK! After 2 failed days found QUARTZINE – EXPO
Also found EQUINOX quickly but didn’t see trapeze (didn’t try after I found QUARTZ, then QUARTZINE)

        1. Expone isn’t in the word list (I know, I wanted QUARTZITE to work too) – and while I sympathise with the frustration when legitimate words aren’t in the word list, this one is obsolete, so…

          1. Yes, I only found it in OED. I didn’t look elsewhere. My steps are usually LB, OED, MW, then at last resort Wiktionary.

    1. I was sad that QUIXOTE didn’t work and there was no “C” for QUIXOTIC. I didn’t think of QUIXOTIZE. Nice!

  1. OA on my first trip around the square. Admittedly, I’ve been looking at the Equinox lately, thinking about getting a new vehicle. Is this a sign that I should swing over to the dealer?

  2. TRAPEZE — EQUINOX

Found EQUINOX but really struggled to find TRAPEZE. Found EXPERTIZE, QUARTZITE, and OXAZINE but no connectors.

LB didn’t accept PARAQUITO, but my protest solve is PARAQUITO — OXAZINE 🙂

  3. Another QUARTZINE EXPO here, very quickly, to my relief after hours of unsuccessful 2w’s yesterday. Was sure it would be the OA, but this time I didn’t think of Equinox, I did see Trap but not Trapeze.

  4. OA took me about 15 minutes.

    Also EQUITIZE* EXPARTITION*
(*equitize is a common term in the stock market; the latter is French, but usually hyphenated in english, although occasionally it appears as one word — as in this poem:

“…expartition is in an example of work, a touching beat is the best way.”
    Gertrude Stein, Geography and Plays.

  5. Thought it would have to be QUARTZITE, finally stuck in QUARTZINE out of desperation and was surprised it was accepted, and EXPO was a no-brainer.

    1. OA for me as well, although I did cringe when I saw Q, X, and Z all in a row. Fortunately it unfolded pretty quickly.
