PICKAXES / SHRUG Less than a minute.
PICKAXES SHRUG
We dig up diamonds by the score
A thousand rubies, sometimes more
Though we don’t know what we dig ’em for
We dig dig dig a-dig dig
Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho
… Apparently, this has been trending for a long time.
That’s some first-rate referencing, MVUA!
Same old OA (another one-off?) Pickaxes Shrug. Sounds like an accident waiting to happen.
PICKAXES – SHRUG
Missing the point.
OA. I found PICKAXES rather quickly. Oddly, I needed a second look to see SHRUG. Go figure. Happy Sunday!
OA here as well. Took a few minutes though.
Same! Lol
Defeat! I couldn’t let go of GRAPH(IC) today so I settled for
EKE EXCUSE EPIGRAPH(IC)
I couldn’t let go of peckish so I had:
Peckish Hexes Sugar
Yup!
OA as well… and I didn’t think it would’ve been the OA. Same as yesterday.
EXCUSES SKIAGRAPH
Same. Thanks to Mark. I remembered his SKIAGRAPH solution from a previous puzzle. ALIOW.
SKIAGRAPH returns! ✔👍
Yes! Spent a while looking up words ending in GRAPH and GRAPHIC and finally found SKIAGRAPH: a photographic image produced on a radiosensitive surface by radiation other than visible light (especially by X-rays or gamma rays). Love learning new words!!!
Same pony off Mark. Thanks!
👍
Thanks for this. I finally got the OA after getting stuck on EXCUSE(S) and anything with GRAPH(IC)S in it!
EXCUSES-SKIAGRAPHIC

Pickaxes shrug
OA in 30 seconds so tried other solutions. Augurship + pickaxe was the only other one I cold find
Pickaxes-shrug during my first bowel movement
OA after a struggle.
Tried HEXAGRAPHS which is described in Wikipedia. Not LB acceptable. But apparently these six-letter sequences don’t happen in the English language.
There is at least one hexagraph in English, one that I know of, anwyay. It’s in the word “eschscholtzia.” It’s a kind of poppy. The “schsch” in it is a hexagraph of the phoneme ʃ, which is more often written in English with the digraph sh and is the sh sound.
Thanks Benjamin. New to me! Quite a mouthful. 🙂
OA in 27 minutes
ICK!
Pickaxes Shrug
Pickaxes shrug. Kind of glad I never got into para. . .

Little bit disappointed it wouldn’t accept SEXPIG. 😅
Pickaxes – shrug
Excuses – skiagraph
Praxis shuckage. Shuckage not a real word but to still makes sense in the sense of modern education. Not to. TI
apexigraphs/suck
wouldn’t accept apexigraph though
