    1. PICKAXES SHRUG
We dig up diamonds by the score
      A thousand rubies, sometimes more
Though we don’t know what we dig ’em for
We dig dig dig a-dig dig

      Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho

… Apparently, this has been trending for a long time.

      1. Bernie Horowitz

        That’s some first-rate referencing, MVUA!
Same old OA (another one-off?) Pickaxes Shrug. Sounds like an accident waiting to happen.

    1. Yes! Spent a while looking up words ending in GRAPH and GRAPHIC and finally found SKIAGRAPH: a photographic image produced on a radiosensitive surface by radiation other than visible light (especially by X-rays or gamma rays). Love learning new words!!!

  1. PICKAXES — SHRUG/SHRUGS

PICKAXES — SCRAUGH* (Good in OED)

Also played with SAUSAGES, PARAGRAPHS, and PARAPRAXIAS but couldn’t connect.

  2. OA after a struggle.

Tried HEXAGRAPHS which is described in Wikipedia. Not LB acceptable. But apparently these six-letter sequences don’t happen in the English language.

    1. There is at least one hexagraph in English, one that I know of, anwyay. It’s in the word “eschscholtzia.” It’s a kind of poppy. The “schsch” in it is a hexagraph of the phoneme ʃ, which is more often written in English with the digraph sh and is the sh sound.
