      1. Words above ‘vehemently’ in length that my Agent Smith found, sorted by ‘length, alphabetical’. I did not verify them anywhere.

        ARMAMENTARY
        ATRAMENTARY
        TENEMENTARY
        ATRAMENTAL
        TARAHUMARA
        TARTRAMATE
        TENEMENTAL
        TENEMENTUM
        TUMATAKURU
        TUMATUKURU
        ULTRAHEAVY

Nice call-out, Richie! Those Were the Days.
Vehemently Yarmulke / Yarmulka here. No Kippa, no Minyan. I knew one of these had to be the OA. The allure of Yiddishkeit is strong in the LBsphere.

      1. Same here, but stumbled into Yarmulke.

Also found… Hearten, Heavenly, Turnkey, Turkey

        Heavymetal not accepted 🤬
        Supervillain: Kraven

        1. Hulk was there too as were Metal Men and kraken though not a hero. At least monster. I must have 1000 old comics in the attic

          1. Nice Bill. I saw Hulk but it was accepted and had another meaning. Well done on the others!

  1. Samuel Hanwich

Had both spellings of YARMULKE/YARMULKA, didn’t want to have them other letters dancing in my head when I couldn’t hook them up as I was going to sleep, so I bailed.

  2. VEHEMENTLY — YARMULKE/YARMULKA

Found YARMULKE/YARMULKA early and was thrilled that I had two different letters to connect with but I couldn’t find anything, I then started on the -LY words and since V was still out, VEHEMENTLY soon followed. Also tried TENEMENT and TENEMENTARY, but I couldn’t connect the leftovers.

    1. I have used YARMULKE in past solves sometime in the last year, but I can’t recall if it was part of the OA.

  3. Sometimes I feel bad about searching words that start with y and include u and k. Other days, I would never have gotten an obscure term like yamulke, and I’m glad I cut my mental struggle short.

  4. Whoops. I should look up words before opining on their obscurity. I just never knew how yamulka was spelled.

  5. VEHEMENTLY – YARMULKA. Found VEHEMENTLY first and almost started looking to build off VEHEMENT, but figured I better at least check for a Y connector first. Given Ezersky’s penchant for Yiddish, YARMULKE/A seemed like a strong contender.

    1. Samuel Hanwich

Started out with the same two words, but couldn’t see VEHEMENTLY. Those ones where letters are used multiple times always throw me off.

  6. OA after spending WAY TOO MUCH TIME after finding YARMULKE fairly quickly. Yiddish makes another appearance, but I know Mr. Ezersky’s fondness for the language 🙂

  7. Wow, I missed the Yiddish word this time; was making up 2nd words after VEHEMENTLY, got two 3w’s, entered the shortest: VEHEMENT TRULY YAK, also VEHEMENTLY YURT TAKE.

    1. Also I had hopes for TURKEY or HEAVENLY… Vehement “Talkturkey” was a made-up 2w.. was surprised TALKY got accepted.

  8. No luck on this one, and I would never have thought of YARMULKE. I played with HEAVENLY, TURNKEY, and others for a while.
