        1. This was what I got as well, only out of frustration, because Bushwalked sounded similar to a word I have actually heard before, Bushwhacked. Had Dualize(s) long before I stumbled upon Bushwalk. Have to look it up I guess. Maybe it’s an Australian thing.

    1. And here as well. Kinda surprised it wasn’t the OA. BUSHWA was not in my vocabulary. Miriam Webster lists its etymology as: probably euphemism for bull$#!t. Well, there you have it šŸ™‚

    2. Same hereā€¦
      [ Bushwalks – Seized ]

      Also played withā€¦
      Seizable, Subduable,

Bladelike not accepted. Another suffix (-like) not loved by LB, Mark.

    1. BUSHWA is when you are chatting with your mate about what a nice hike you are on, don’t watch where you are stepping, and suddenly plummet to your death.

      BUSHWA – ADZELIKE*

    2. In a few minutes I “seized” on trying “bushwalk” as my first word. Adding “s” to bushwalk put seized right in front of me and gave me my two-word solve. Yea!
Afterward, I looked up bushwalks. It was interesting to learn how different countries refer to this walking adventure. Bushwalking in Australia; Hiking or backpacking in North America; Tramping in New Zealand; and Rambling in the UK.
LB was its own fun adventure today! It’s late Friday afternoon here in North America. Have a great weekend.

  1. BUSHWALKED — DUALIZED

I spent lots of time with ALKALIZED, but couldn’t pair it. Found DUALIZED thinking that there would be words ending in -ED to connect. Finally found/tried BUSHWALKED. Total guess, as I have never heard of it.

  2. Like Emphyrio, surprised to find my solution was OA. Last time I heard “bushwa,” I was maybe 10. My dad used it to mean ‘nonsense/bunk/guff.’

      1. Tried with alkalize didnā€™t think of balalaika. Didnā€™t get it until tried a made up word, bushwalks then seized upon solution

  3. Almost gave up on this.

    Barely found this 3 solve
    ALKALIZES-SUBDUES-SWASH (21/3)

I haven’t had a 4 solve since my first puzzle more than a year ago. That was close to be my 2nd!

  4. You guys are experts at this! I almost gave up with 4w’s, then finally made up BUSHWALK and was surprised it was ok’d. Never saw SEIZED, nor DUALIZE, so I missed the 2w possibilities. Got two 3w’s: entered my shortest, LIB BUSHWALKED DAZE. Also: BUSHWALKS SKIED DAZE. Never heard of BUSHWA.

  5. OA here, but stumbled upon it. ā€œalkalizedā€ was the longest word I could make ending in ā€œ-izeā€, and figured that suffix had to play in the answer given no other good options for the z. And because it also used the ā€œkā€, seemed like a promising route. So Iā€™m left with B-U-S-H-W, and ā€œbushwaā€ sounded vaguely familiar, so gave it a shot. Was somewhat shocked when LB accepted it.

  6. Hoo boy, OA is some real BUSHWA alright. Had BUSHWALK(/ED/S), but didn’t see DUALIZED or SEIZED (šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø). Glad there were some better alternatives than the OA today.

  7. I forgot to post this last night…
