        1. Another Fracked Duckling but not so fast. Usually -ing and under- are gifts, but not today.

Sounds like a new menu item I’m not yet familiar with.

      1. Same! Franked (Duckling): to print a mark on a stamp so that the stamp cannot be used again, or to print a mark on an envelope to show that the cost of sending it has been paid.

  1. INGULFED—DRACK 13/2

    FEARED—DUCKLING
    Daffy, or Donald?
I think Daffy was more of a troublemaker.

    KNUCKLER—RANGEFINDER
    Phil Niekro

    1. Wow, that’s better than the one provided by the web site, right? In FEARED the ‘e’ is used twice. You are using all letters just once. Well done!

  2. FEARD-DUCKLING (13/2)

Who am I to question the Letter Boxed dictionary?!

    From Wordnik
    1. The Century Dictionary: Afeard; afraid.
    2. Wiktionary: verb (archaic), Simple past tense and past participle of fear.
    3. Not accepted in Scrabble

  3. Strange that KNURLED wax accepted but KNURLING wasn’t.

It did me a favour though as I remembered I could have US spellings and very quickly got FRACKED – DUELING.

  5. I danced all around an acceptable pair of words. Finally came up with flacked and durning which LB accepted. I had to look both words up. Flack is related to an attack. Durning means anger or frustration. Or it is during just being misspelled.
