        1. Principal, but also Empirical, Incorporeal, Precocial or Reciprocal Laywomen. Those gals are good for just about anything. Also Complainer Rawly. Enough with the carping! At least tone it down! Plus Yawner Recompile (no wonder, so boring!), Enwrap Polymeric (enwrap it up, I’ll take it!), Polymeric Careworn (from too much enwrapping), and Polycarpic / Polymeric Camerawomen (hard to believe there’s a need for more than one of either).

  1. Complainer – Rawly …
Waiter! I said medium-well! Clearly this is just medium!! It’s practically still mooing! TAKE IT BACK!!!

    1. I also got complainer rawly and fairly quickly. Complainer was the easy one but it was a Doh! moment that got rawly.🙃

  2. There are different kinds of WOMEN in today’s array:

    PLAYWOMEN—NICER 👩‍🎤

    EMPIRICAL—LAYWOMEN 👩‍🏭

    POLYMERIC—CAMERAWOMEN 👸

I need another word to pair with POLICEWOMEN 👮‍♀️
    Hopefully someone can find.

    1. Didn’t get a match for policewomen but you provided me with one for:
      POLYMERIC – CAREWORN
and now I am tired down to my DNA… so thanks and goodnight.

        1. Hey Mark – i’m coming in way later …
i tried POLYCARP, hoping that LB would accept it as meaning “multiple fish”, but they said “Not a word” … Polycarp IS in most encyclopedias and some dictionaries, not as a fish but an ancient martyr.

Moving slightly up the water column i came upon the word “NYROCA”, which seems to be used sometimes as a species name and sometimes as a genera name for various similar kinds of ducks:
          https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Search&limit=250&offset=0&ns0=1&search=NYROCA

… but again, LB said “Nyet!”.

    1. Monday morning in the pouring rain. Waiting for the yellow school bus in my yellow raincoat. Enough to put me off education for life.

  3. PRINCIPAL – LAYWOMEN

The NEWLY appointed leader of the Catholic school wielded his POWER like a spoiled PRINCE or self-important CORPORAL, ICILY greeting the married female teachers, despite their WARMER demeanor.

    1. I had EMPIRICAL and I fought and fought with laywoman to work and it never occurred to me that there might be more than one laywoman, so I gave up that train of thought and eventually failed.

2 chicks at the same time.

  4. complainer rawly.
I think it would have been railway if I’d got that one first rather than just using the leftover letters for rawly. You know with two letters you’re going to make it work one way or another.

  5. EMPIRICAL LAYWOMEN after some noodling. Nice work above finding a two-worder with CAREWORN, I struck out. Saw EARWORM off the bat, again couldn’t find a two-worder, but if anyone can do it it’ll be one of you brilliant folks here!

    1. ALYCOMPAINE* — EARWORM

A perennial composite plant, Horse-heal (Inula Helenium), with very large yellow radiate flowers and bitter aromatic leaves and root

    1. Mine too! I’m a bit embarrassed that it took me a long time to get an answer seeing as how many possible answers people found!

  6. COMPLACENCY – YAWNIER

Less efficient than using “Comply” first, but I was trying to lead off with a longer word to reduce the number of letters needed for a word starting with “y”. Never went back to realize the “acenc” in the middle was superfluous…

  7. I forgot to post this last night.
