The answers are:
FLAMENCOOBLIQUE
OA.
FLAMENCO – OBLIQUE…
But to the dancers the passion is clear!
Got OBLIQUE. I didn’t get FLAMENCO after my time limit.
Same. I went over my hour again. 90 minutes I waived the flag. I had “oblique” like you and was pretty sure a solution was connected. Frustrating 🤬
Also had… ambulance,
imbecile, imbecilic, obloquial,
iambic, influence, combine,
flambeau, embolic, manque,
maniacal

DAVID, BRILLIANT!!!
😉😎
OA! After a time-wasting failure yesterday. Sublime!
Oa after brief fling with eloquence and the unaccepted ineloquence(?)
Attached to ELOQUENCE (starting with a savory dose of FLAMBE)…missing the i 🙁
Exactly the same for me.
Inflame Eloquence … missing the B
The rejection of INELOQUENCE had me mumbling incoherently!
Hey Oscar – same thing for me … I started early yesterday morning and found eloquence and the rejected ineloquence but no match word and had to do other things all day. Finally I got back to it and sussed out the OA – less than a half hour now until our next torture!
Blessings!
OA for me. I noticed CINQUE was accepted. 🤷🏽♀️
I tried Cinque as well–right before I noticed Oblique.
Oh what another glorious day for us here at our place of work! Got the OA after a while, but it took us surprisingly long! We made sure to separate ourselves from the spoiler… Yet another puzzle that was extremely enjoyable to solve 🙂 Unfortunately, we do not foresee ourselves solving the Letter Boxed NYT tomorrow. Toodles,

OA and felt certain it would be.
Brutal today. Ended up with a 3: FLAMBE EQUINE ECO.
Could hardly see anything with the Q. Only found EQUAL, CINQUE, QUINCE, EQUINE and COQUINA. Only non ‘Q’ words I found were FLAMBE, AMBIANCE, ECO and AMBULANCE.
I went down most of those paths + ELOQUENCE (also a dead end)
FLAMBEAU was also accepted, but got me nowhere. Settled for FLIC- COLUMBINE-EQUAL after dallying with COEQUAL. Never saw FLAMENCO.
OA after walking away from it for a bit and then seeing it all come together in my head – which is definitely not the norm. Coffee gone, but not yet into lunchtime tea, so all is well!
OA after a frustratingly long time and a break then revisit. Is this the only two word solve today?
I also wonder why ineloquence wasn’t accepted.
There is a 2 word solution that starts with a word that means: In colonial Brazil, a community organized by fugitive slaves
QUILOMBO—OCEANFUL

Spent too long trying to make columbine work. Finally settled on flamenco-oblique
COLUMBIUM – MANQUE – ELF was my best. also, CACIQUE is too a word! not that it would have got me anywhere.
Finally, FLAMENCO OBLIQUE, but not before wrangling with a dangling F for longer than I want to say, and 3-4 word combos.
OA at long last. Liked Flambe but flamenco eluded me for ages
Was hoping for eloquence but landed on the OA after I settled in.
OA. Didn’t take too long, plus had a dry spell I was glad to break.
Here is the full list. there were no Scrabble words today:
** Don’t look at the list if you haven’t finished solving the puzzle **
(The first number is a count and the second number is the number of letters used)
1 – 15 flamenco / oblique
2 – 17 flamenco / obloquial
3 – 16 quilombo / oceanful
Dangling F several times.
Combine Equal F
Combine Equal Foal
Big fat nope today. Spent too long on it and had a feeling I would be frustrated by the answer. Had OBLIQUE, don’t think I ever would’ve gotten to FLAMENCO. 😡🔥🕺
