Sides of this Letter Box are:
JTRUIHDESMYG
The answers are:
RHYTHMMISJUDGE
JUDGERS-SMITHY
quickly done but no TI I can see in this
Holyoke student dissing their rival?
The place where snooty blacksmiths work!
I stumbled on this too after failing to spell rhythm correctly
LOL. Me too!
Yes I got this too….
Same…
Reminds me of the competition reality shows where a panel judges the talent and then tries to forge them into stars.
Always the best themes, Mvua. You have a gift 🌟
Same here. 🙂
Same. Almost instantly.
Same here
JUDGERS – SMITHY here too. After JUDGIER was somehow rejected (though JUDGEY was accepted)
Or measuring the horses hoof correctly.
JUDGERS / SMITHY too!
Me too
also my solution 🙂
JUDGERS-SMITHY
Ditto
OA
JUDGERS—SMITHY 13/2
MISJUDGER*—RHYTHM(IST)
OA is abbreviation for the “official answer” that gets listed on this site each day. So: rhythm misjudge was today’s OA.
OA.
JUDGIER RHYTHMS
But Judgier isn’t playable, alas. OA here, easily enough. Nice TI, for a change. I would have said it was a one off, but here come all you guys with Judgers Smithy. Any others? We’ll find out!
OA after being thwarted in my attempt to use JUDGIER. Me thinks that the overlords are being a bit too judgey here, as JUDGEY was accepted, but JUDGIER was not. Seems a bit inconsistent if you ask me to judge.
That was my first attempt, too, but JUDGIER wasn’t accepted. So I started with RHYTHM (without the S) and saw MISJUDGE. So OA for me. First time in a long time.
First time in almost a week. So all good.
me, too! in about 10 seconds, which is a very rare occurrence for me…actually, it never happens! 😉
oops! i replied to the wrong post. i got judgers–smithy
OA
Homage to Votive :
The just jury
Hides its grim truth
Midst the drudgery.
The judge urges her jurists:
Justice!
It hurts his mistimed regime
Midrhytĥm.
It disgusts him.
She must resist the grudge.
She surges
Midst the dirge’s thrum:
Justice!
Piper, thank you! Celebrating justice, in verse.
Welcome.
Quickly solved as same as OA.
Judger – rhythmist so along the same lines
Judger-Rhythmist
It’s always interesting to me how so many people get the same non-OA. JUDGERS and SMITHY here as well.
Oa. I tried judgier-rhythms to no avail.
Another JUDGER – RHYTHMIST. As Meg points out, along the same lines.
OA pretty quickly. A nice change after yesterday took me hours.
JUDGER – RHYTHMIST for me as well and quickly for a change.
The Judger vs The Rhythmist:
Billing for the 1964 Liston/Clay fight. The Rhythmist shocked the world.
OA in less than 15 minutes.
I have to believe there are some good words ending in “-smith” that also could lead to a pairing.
Also, maybe…
Drudgery
OA as well
judgers – smithy
Got RHYTHM and MISJUDGE in 10 minutes! Always a thrill to participate with all you brainiacs! Great to see the non-OA answers as well! Now I can go about my day!
RHYTHM MISJUDGES makes me think of the musical term alleregretto, meaning you started the tempo so fast during performance that in the middle of the piece you regret it.
Your comment led me to
https://classicalmusicguide.com/viewtopic.php?t=47357#p479825 (New Musical Terms) which I thoroughly enjoyed. Been there, done that many times. Thanks 😊
👍
JUDGERS SMITHY here too. And I noticed JUDGIER was not accepted. And JUDGEY was. Glad to see others take the same route as I have. This puzzle is so trying at times it can leave me feeling like an idiot. This forum helps me feel that even when I fail to solve the puzzle, there are others of you who are right there with me. And I marvel at the plethora of words and solutions found that my mind hadn’t imagined. Thanks everyone for sharing!
Ditto! Also, I’m a late riser so I almost never get to post early with a unique solution. I’ll have to travel to Australia to get a jump on Mark one day 🙂 Followed the same route and only 4 sips into the coffee 🙂 On to SB, etc.
OA and my fastest attempt so far
Judgers – Smithy
JUDGERS-SMITHY as well.
Saw the JDG and assumed…
Hi, I’m new here. I got Judgers – Smithy too, but would have enjoyed the wordplay of Judgier Rhythms! Can someone tell me what OA means? Thanks for all the great comments.
OA but not quickly. It didn’t occur to me for a while to throw RHYTHM in front of MISJUDGE. Although I got rhythm early on, I didn’t get misjudge until later. By then I had forgotten about rhythm. But then I remembered!
OA today
