The answers are:
JUBILANTLYYOKE
OA
not so joyful for the oxen
Same!
or perhaps the motto of a Buddhist monastery
Oa. Amish mantra?
JUBILANT – TOYLIKE
Barely makes sense . . .
I think I like the OA better.
oh no, this is more fun!
🧸🚂🎈🙂
same
Jubilant toylike here too
OA – very quick solve for me today
The OA, out of the gate. Also Jubilantly Yokel, just ‘cause I’m always on the lookout for Yokel. Sorry I missed Jill’s Jubilant Toylike! Steph is right, it amps the fun. Something to amuse the Yokels.
Hee haw, love the image!
Likewise! I imagine Lord Farquaad barking at the lackadaisical country dancer: “JUBILANTLY, YOKEL!”
Found Jubilant/ yoke
Jubilant Toylike here
OA for me after failing with INKJET, JUNKET, JAUNTY, BOUNTY. JALABA was not accepted.
If not for that pesky Y, Inkjet Tabouli / Tabouli Inkjet would have been cool!
A quick OA as well. A wedding perhaps.
Jubilant toylike too
I nearly stopped for a Jubilant Toke until I saw the Y left over.
So in the end Jubilantly Yoke also, but not celebrating. It’s ugly.
Official and very quickly.
Single solution today with the exception of Jill
Good morning. I’m only seeing the two solutions aforementioned thus far. Anagrams are sparse too; but the now familiar group of {TEAL, LATE, LEAT, TAEL, TALE} is present. KILOBYTE and KILOJOULE popped up on the categorization grid.
and BANJOLELE (though not LB-sanctioned) on the hybrid musical instrument grid
I love the banjolele! I found ukulele but it didn’t use up enough of a variety of the letters.
Got official.
jubilantly – yoke
OA too
OA as well
JUNKET TABOULI was what I came up with. Healthy snacks are important on travels.
Scratch that one.
Y did I think that was a solution? 🙂
Didn’t see JUBILANT or JUBILANTLY unfortunately. Embarrassingly I couldn’t even get a 2. Despite finding BEATNIK, JOINTLY, BOATLIKE, TOYLIKE, UNLIKELY and UNALIKE, I finished with the very poor JUNKET TOYBOY YOKEL LAIN.
OA after an imaginary junket back to the 60s — beatnik, banjo, ukulele, toke, unyoke, toyboy.
Ah, beatniks! Back in those days when poets could actually register on our cultural radar.
Yep, I got the one with TOYLIKE, and it was quite a struggle. All the vowels plus Y.
Didn’t see it, so Beatnik & Kilojoule it is, and a lonely y oustanding. 🙂
How ‘bout “eye” as the 3rd word? 👁️
Gah… I have a “falling in love with a word” problem. I found KILOJOULE and just really wanted it to be in the solution. Then I found KILOBYTE and really wanted to make that work. It keeps me from looking for other words when I see so few letters left. Sigh. Maybe tomorrow. Today: JUNK KILOBYTE EAT
I reused the L, and got JUBILANTLY and YOKEL
WALNUT-TORCHED for a 13/2
🙂
Of course I put this on wrong day’s post. Back to sleep now….
UNLATCHED – DOWER, and on second attempt, UNTOWARD – DECAHEDRAL, too.
Mifftified that Letter Boxed (like Spelling Bee) doesn’t accept ECHOLOCATE(D) or ECHOLOCATOR. Cue the angry bat sounds!
