The answers are:
PORTRAYALLONGBOWS
POLYBAGS STROWN is a 14/2.
They’re everywhere.
Oh damn, got very close today – found LONGBOWS and PARTY, but couldn’t join them up. On the way I found POLYGLOT, PLAYBOY, STRONGLY, TRANSPORT, PANOPLY, TWANG, ROYALS, BRAWLS, PRAWNS… PORNSTAR was not allowed, nor SPRAYTAN.
SPRAYTAN is playable in my book!
I got a bit snotty when they didn’t allow Spraytan. Painted people are funny and we need more.
LONGBOWS SPARTANLY
Same for me!
Me also.
Yes, me too. Thought I had something with ‘STRONGBOWS,’ but evidently that’s just the name of a brand of hard cider.
😂😉
BROWNTOPS – SLANGY
bit of a slog today.
BROWNTOPS SPANGLY
BROWNTOPS – SLANGY for me too. A true ALIOW answer if there ever was one! 😮💨🤣
Towbars spangly
Looks lile there could be a few but I’m stopping at this!
same. efficient enough for me.
BROWNBAGS STYLOPS here. Is this when your Mom brainwaves you to believe taking your lunch to school in a bag is stylish?
Nice! I spent a long time looking for a pair to BROWNBAGS, so kudos to you. 👏
Thanks!!
browntops – slangy
Oa. Shocked it was official.
BROWNBAGS SPARTANLY for a bit of TI
This one led me down so many dead ends. Gave up and went with POLYGLOTAL-LOWBORN-NAGS for my longest solution ever. Interesting image.
I got the OA and was also surprised that answer had o’s found in both words. I am no longer striving for letters used only once in these puzzles.
Sure hope DW makes an appearance today. He’s going to miss BARN SWALLOW!
Geez, finally came to – just in the nick of time! – and realized I had forgotten to play today. After dallying with Brawny Polygonal Polyglots and their ilk, hit on the OA and said OK.
So let me get this straight, No to Pornstars, Yes to Browntops? I scoff!
Nope, not today.
Left a bit late. Total fail with 3 minutes to go! Spent far too long obsessing about Bogarts Snowplow
Sometimes, reading the comments here makes my frustrations in solving lettersboxed validated.
So, I’m new to this forum and probably the thousandth person to say this, but I wish Letter Boxed would let us know how many possible 2-word combos are possible. Maybe even rank by succinctness? I’ve submitted that suggestion to Nytgames@nytimes.com. If enough of us chime in, we might be able to make it happen.
P.S. This noob has to ask: what is TI??
