The answers are:
HEADLAMPPORCINE
PARODIC – CHAMELEON
You found a match fit the chameleon! Bravo! 🙌🏾👏🏾
…for…
So… camouflage but funnier?
MICROMECHANICAL-LID was accepted.
Don’t want those nanobots escaping!
You always make me laugh out loud Mvua, but only after I think about it a minute 😄
Annoying, because I found some much better words, like HARMONICA, ECONOMICAL, RANDOM, CHORAL, MELODIC and HARMONIC, HANDICAP, POLEMICAL, CHRONICLE, NOMADIC, CRIMINAL. Amazing LB today!
It was something of a treasure hunt today, indeed.
Also MICRO/MACROECONOMIC (however, I learned today that ECONOMICAL does not take either prefix), and MICROCHEMICAL.
RHODIC CAMPANILE
Oh, good! A match for Campanile, which was a dead end for me.
Monarch Helipad
I assume this is a thing that actually exists.
On a yacht, in the Thames.
You always bring it, MVUA!
Whereas I immediately thought of a eucalyptus leaf! 🦋
I always prefer a poet to a jester.
Microchip Panhandle
Not asking for much…
Yet, the world was wanting.
Microchip Panhandle for me too.
Same here! 🙂
PANHARMONIC-CRADLE. Good environment for lullabies.
Hondle empirical
At one point, I had empirical and thought there’s no such word as hondle, so didn’t even try 😟
Chronicle – Empanada
Fell into Letter Boxed manhole today. Thought paranormal or crampon would help me out but got distracted by headache. Finally found headlamp. It shed no light on porcine but what it did find was panoramic.
I worked with headlamp and panoramic, but at different times, and failed to marry them up. Also other half-answers like campanile or chameleon or chronicle where I failed to find the match.
CHRONICLE-EMPANADA. Was hard to give up on other tasties like PORCINI and MACARONI
Yayyy this is what I got too, Steph! I myself was sad not to find a match for IMPEACH.
Later found DIPOLE – ENHARMONIC
Then finally POLEMARCH – HIND 13/2 🙂
Same
Another Parodic Chameleon here. Jim Carrey and Frank Gorshin spring to mind. The TI TIckled my fancy. (Tickled my fancy what, you ask? Mind out of the gutter, folks!)
MONOPODIC – CHARLIE
Policeman / Policemen didn’t work out for me… Their lot is not a happy one.
HEMLINE – ENDOCARP
MANHOLE—ENDOCARPIC over here
palomino – orchidacean
After I refused to give up on palomino – orchid
what a fascinating word!

DIPOLE/ENHARMONIC
HONDLE – EMPIRICAL. “Hondle” is a new word for me; tried it on a lark.
🐦 ANI, NENE, RHEA, APAPANE, CONDOR, PIPIPI, PELICAN, OROPENDOLA, MONARCH, CHACHALACA, CARACARA, ARACARI, PALILA, NEOPIPO, CRANE, PIHA, MALEO, MINLA, MONAL 🐦🐦 CINNAMON NEOPIPO, COMMON LOON, MOORHEN, HOOPOE
What did the lark think? 🤔
😂
Same here – HONDLE – EMPIRICAL. Had to look up Hondle as well: To negotiate the price of something. So, kind of oxymoronic TI here…. Fun to see the variety of answers for a change! Thank you Mr. Ezersky 🙂
Official
I had chameleon and monarch but couldn’t find a match to either. Ultimately started looking fir compound word
MICROCHIP – PANHANDLE
So many words ! Always one letter missing. I finally got HANDICAP POLEMARCH
PARHELIC CONDOM is a 14/2.
Panhandle Enharmonic
Late to the party and thought this would be easy given all the words easily got at first, including:
Empirical, harmonica, chamomile, impeach, almond, mechanic, corporal, chemical, polemic, chalice.
Finally got a match with Heparin & nomadical. Wth! 😄
I called it quits but got six different one letter short solutions :’)
ALCOHOLIC CHEAPEN CHORALE CHROME COMICAL COMPAND COMPILE CONDONE CORPORAL DAMPEN DOPAMINE ECONOMICAL ENAMEL ENAMOR HARMONICA HOMELAND HOMICIDAL LANDMINE MELODICAL MORALE NONALCOHOLIC POLICE PORCH
CHILD-DOPAMINE(R) DAMPEN-ALCOHOLIC(R) LANDMINE-EPOCH(R) PORCH-HOMELAND(I) HARMONIC-COMPILE(D) DOPAMINE-ENRICH(L)
I tripped upon dipole enharmonic
Had to look it up!
Didn’t have the time today so went with three. Chameleon, Nomadic and Cramp(on) Thought the crampon might fit with nomadic :)))
Tried forever to get MICROMACHINE (’80s childhood FTW) to work, but finally got a working solution with HANDHOLE – EMPIRICAL. Any two-word day is a good day. 🤷♂️
Microchip- Panhandle for me.
